College Readiness
College isn’t just about getting in. It’s about growing into who you want to become.
Helping motivated high school students navigate applications, well being, and the transition to college — with guidance from mentors and alumni of the UCI Ethics Center.
The College Readiness branch grew out of our Summer Program’s mentoring community—students helping students navigate one of life’s most significant transitions. Many of our high school participants go on to become mentors themselves, returning to share what they’ve learned about college applications, purpose, and well-being.
This page is a home for that shared wisdom. It brings together reflections from alumni, guidance from mentors, and evidence-based resources on balance, decision-making, and finding your path after high school.
Here we aim to create a space for honest conversations about growth, challenge, and possibility—where motivated students can learn from those who have walked this road before them.
Team Lead: Chloe Lampros-Monroe, MA George Washington School of Public Health, Tobis Fellow UCI Ethics Center Summer Program
Chloe just completed her MPH at George Washington University, where she focused on
maternal and child health and mental health. For the past few years, she has taught
a module for the UCI Ethics Center Summer Internship program focused on mental health
issues in teens. Chloe would like to continue to focus on these research interests
as a Tobis Fellow, specifically focusing on researching mental health issues in women,
children, and teens/young adults. She would also like to examine this topic from a
global health perspective.
Who is this for: 9th–12th grade students seeking structured support for college planning
